About The Position
TACO Metals is seeking a detail-driven Staff Accountant to support financial operations, ensuring accuracy, providing insights, and driving continuous improvement within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role offers valuable exposure to various organizational areas, working closely with the Controller. It's an opportunity to develop skills, contribute to key financial processes, and grow within a collaborative and fast-paced team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- 2–5 years of accounting experience required
- Financial analysis expertise
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturing, distribution, or industrial experience preferred
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare and record journal entries for general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-year closing processes
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Maintain and update financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reports
- Support accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P) processes as needed
- Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies
- Assist in resolving accounting system issues and operational discrepancies
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and operational financial analysis
- Maintain accurate financial data within the company’s ERP system
- Utilize Excel and reporting tools to support financial analysis and operational reporting
- Identify and recommend opportunities to improve accounting processes
- Maintain documentation supporting accounting transactions and internal controls
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards
