About The Position

The Staff Accountant – Inspire Company Restaurants (ICR) Accounting supports the operational accounting functions of the ICR Accounting team. This role is responsible for executing elements of the month‑end close process, including the review of ICR costs, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and preparation of financial analyses. The Staff Accountant will also assist with quarterly and year‑end requests. This position sits within our Atlanta based Global Support Center with an expectation to be onsite 80% of the time. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 0-3 years of accounting experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively or independently while producing accurate results and meeting assigned deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) track preferred
  • Prior accounting experience with ERP financial systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the month-end and quarter-end close of the general ledger, including preparation journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Review assigned accounts and cost areas (e.g., Inventory/Cost of Goods Sold, Selling General & Administrative (SG&A), and Controllables) for accuracy and completeness and adhere to department deadlines.
  • Research and explain fluctuations and variances identified by management or cross-functional partners (e.g., Finance or Operations).
  • Assist in the interim and annual audit process with internal and external auditors by preparing reconciliations and financial statement disclosure support.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with an effective internal controls environment.
  • Demonstrate an ownership mentality by proactively recommending solutions when accounting issues arise.
  • Perform ad hoc projects and analysis as assigned.
