About The Position

The Staff Accountant supports day-to-day accounting operations by preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheets, and managing intercompany activity while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls. This role partners closely with finance and business teams to analyze variances, support audits, drive process improvements, and deliver accurate financial reporting in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
  • 1+ years practical accounting experience
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and stringent deadlines within a fast-paced environment is a must
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively work with multiple departments and levels within the organization
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Oracle fusion experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Working through the preparation and recording of required journal entries for certain entities/processes including daily transactions focused on intercompany activity.
  • Maintain balance sheet support schedules and reconciliations monthly for assigned verticals.
  • Analyze results and variances between intercompany accounts.
  • Prepare intercompany settlements on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Assist with coordination of external audit support.
  • Partner and collaborate with peers and business partners to increase operational efficiencies, lead process improvement and alignment within the accounting and finance organization.
  • Acquire a deep understanding of the business processes related to assigned area/function (including general ledger accounts and transaction flow).
  • Perform duties in compliance with GAAP, company and department policies and procedures, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements if needed.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reporting requests, other analyses and special projects requested by management.
