Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or related industry
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (GAAP)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software systems (SAGE experience preferred)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with numerical data
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of integrity, ethics, and confidentiality
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the organization

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries for various accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations including bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger accounts
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable process.
  • Record and file Sales & Use Tax
  • Review project cost and work with project teams to ensure accuracy 
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including accruals and adjusting entries
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and analysis to support management decision-making
  • Assist with audit preparations and provide supporting documentation as required
