Position Summary We are seeking a highly experienced, detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to support a key Property Management Account portfolio. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, the ability to manage strict deadlines independently, and a proactive approach to client communication and coverage. The ideal candidate is dependable, responsive, and capable of operating with minimal supervision in a deadline-driven environment. This position reports to an office Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive commercial property management accounting experience
  • Experience managing multiple clients and strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with strong ownership and accountability

  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned portfolios
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies timely
  • Ensure all internal and client reporting deadlines are met without exception
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity
  • Prepare adjusting journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules
  • Communicate directly with clients in a professional and timely manner
  • Coordinate and support client requests and financial inquiries
  • Assist with audits, tax preparation, and compliance reporting
  • Develop and maintain process documentation to ensure continuity and backup coverage
  • Proactively coordinate coverage during absences to prevent service interruptions
  • Identify and implement process improvements and internal control enhancements
