Staff Accountant
About The Position
Staff Accountant WE LOVE BEER! Our company motto is "TRUST us for the Perfect Pint." Our mission is to provide great-tasting draft beer to the consumer the way the brewmaster intended and to grow the sales of draft beer in the markets we serve. Position Overview: The position of staff accountant is part of the accounting department of the A Head for Profits (AHFP) ownership group, and is responsible for accurately recording accounts receivable and accounts payable data, collecting payments due to the company, performing spreadsheet manipulation, and performing various ad hoc tasks as requested. This position will report to the Controller and be responsible for reports sent directly to leadership and other key personnel.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience utilizing QuickBooks Sync
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability.
- High school diploma
- Proven experience in another relevant administrative role.
- Working knowledge of office equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the aptitude to learn new software and systems.
- Experience with Google Suite
- Acute attention to detail.
- Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish
Responsibilities
- Record A/R invoices sourced from various AHFP platforms in QuickBooks and billing while ensuring transactions are processed promptly, accurately, and completely
- Receive payments through various methods, including check, debit/credit, and ACH
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide customers with requested documents such as payment authorization forms, W-9s, and COIs
- Update and maintain accounting department records in Google Drive
- Update and maintain customer accounts with correct contact, billing, tax, and other information
- Pull reports out of QuickBooks and summarize for leadership, ensuring accuracy of the information and efficiency of communications
- Create importable Excel entries from prior examples to increase efficiency
- Other duties assigned by the leadership team members
