About The Position

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join the accounting team of a well-established organization located in downtown Houston . This role offers the opportunity to work within a sizable, well-resourced environment with approximately $400M in annual revenue , supporting a collaborative accounting function and experienced leadership team. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Nice To Haves

• Accounting experience in public accounting or industry preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support general ledger accounting and financial reporting activities
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and assist with variance analysis
• Provide audit support and documentation as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Participate in ad hoc accounting and finance projects
