About The Position

This role will work as part of the accounting team at Cartiga, and report directly to the CFO. The ideal candidate is one who expects and enjoys being challenged each day at work. The Staff Accountant will play a critical supporting role within the finance department and will be expected to participate in various activities including daily and month-end close related activities, period-end financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and assist in the year-end audit process. This role will also be required to participate in projects designed to automate the flow of financial information, as well as other tasks deemed necessary by management. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, ability work autonomously.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and/or Accounting, CPA or candidate a plus
• Entry-level and experienced candidates will be considered
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Concur, ADP, and Microsoft Dynamics, a strong plus
• Ability to multi-task and work with multiple departments
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Detail oriented
• Excel experience
• Interest in technology and learning new systems
• Developing problem solving and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Participating in the monthly financial reporting close of Cartiga and its subsidiaries
• Maintenance of general ledger accounts including revenue & expense accruals, cash & balance sheet reconciliation and capitalization & amortization of fixed assets and debt related activities
• Monthly financial reporting including utilization of PowerBi, Cube & Databricks to summarize monthly financial results for senior management
• Assist with audit documentation & other audit support
• Budget vs actual monthly analysis
• Assist with monthly & quarterly bank covenants and other regulatory reporting
• Accounts payable & expense reporting
• Assist with various major project initiatives including automation of various financial processes
• Ad-Hoc accounting related tasks as requested by management
