JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for preforming general accounting functions such as daily deposit, payables, patient refunds, miscellaneous billings, AVS billings, W-9 requests, EFT authorizations and Credit Applications. The Staff Accountant also prepares 1099’s issued to vendors and monitors annual report filings.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3-5 years of general accounting experience, including general ledger, payables, and receivables.

Responsibilities

Process, review, match, code, post, and file weekly vendor invoices and patient refunds.
Resolve vendor issues/inquires.
Process weekly check runs.
Manage and maintain daily deposit processing, including:
Print bank statements.
Prepare checks for deposit.
Record checks and EFT’s in Great Plains.
Complete daily deposit report for the day.
Maintain vendor records in Great Plains for 1099 filings.
Maintain monthly billing for nursing time to doctor and AVS infusion services.
Complete W-9 requests, EFT authorizations and credit applications.
Complete various projects, tasks and financial analyses as requested.
Interact with others in a positive, respectful, and considerate manner.
Perform other job related duties as assigned.
