Accredo Packaging is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for accounting and reporting activities for multiple company locations and requires strong technical skills and attention to detail. You will collaborate with plant and corporate personnel and interact with all levels of the organization to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Location: Sugar Land, TX Type: Onsite / 5 Days a week. No option for remote or hybrid

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred) OR Associate degree in Accounting with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Skills & Experience: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP required).
• Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.
• Collaborative team player with a hands-on approach.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Microsoft Navision and treasury functions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly and year-end general ledger (G/L) closing for multiple locations, including preparing, reviewing, and posting journal entries.
• Ensure transactions comply with company policies, procedures, and current accounting standards.
• Prepare working papers, schedules, and reports to support accounting activities.
• Perform balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations.
• Analyze business drivers and report findings to management.
• Handle treasury functions such as ACH payments, wire transfers, and positive pay uploads; resolve exceptions daily.
• Assist with other accounting and finance tasks as assigned.
