We have an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team, based in the Downtown Houston office. As a key player in the team’s operations, this individual should be conscientious about their role and possess a strong “can-do” customer service attitude. Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Financ
• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in an accounting role
• Must be able to multi-task, establish priorities and organize efficiently
• Working knowledge of accounting concepts, such as account reconciliation, A/P, A/R, general ledger, etc.
• Proficient in MS Office Suites – Advanced Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication and client interface skills

Responsibilities

• General Accounts Payable functions including setting up and maintaining vendor records, responding to W9 requests, process vendor invoices, review employee expense reports in Concur and assist with weekly check runs
• General Accounts Receivable functions including preparing incoming checks for deposit, setting up and maintaining client records
• Assist in annual 1099 reporting process
• Prepare and enter journal entries
• Assist with preparation of audit work papers for external auditors
• Ad hoc financial analysis projects
• General administrative accounting duties
