About The Position

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from guests and other employees of the Company in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to become familiar with a variety of departments' concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Ability to perform with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
  • Microsoft Office experience required. Will utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Candidate must obtain and maintain appropriate licensing as set forth by the PGCB, PHRC and Presque Isle Downs.
  • Must be able to work independently with a variety of departments to successfully accomplish goals.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required or a combination of education and work experience.
  • Must have at least one year of experience in public and/or corporate accounting.
  • Candidate must be able to sit, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of the hands required as the candidate will be using computers and other office equipment.
  • Candidate is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Candidate is required to talk and hear.
  • The employee may be required to lift up to 10 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Nice To Haves

  • Great Plains experience is preferred.
  • CPA or MBA a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Month end closing, financial analysis, financial reporting, account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and assistance with budgets.
  • Analyzing trends, costs, and revenues.
  • Assisting daily audits of revenue that consists of table games, slot, complimentary services and items, food and beverage, cage and others.
  • Other duties as assigned.
