The Role We are looking to hire a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. With a focus on Accounts Payable, General Ledger, NetSuite reporting, and month-end close responsibilities, this position is designed for an individual who has a broad understanding of the business and its accounting function. The Staff Accountant should have a strong foundation in accounting and finance, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be a self-starter.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience; CPA a plus
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles
  • Hands-on experience using NetSuite for general ledger management, reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Experience with journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and depreciation
  • Strong understanding of order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes within an ERP environment
  • Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting, including reconciliations
  • Ability to prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations independently
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and working with large data sets
  • Experience exporting, analyzing, and validating data from NetSuite
  • Exposure to internal controls, audit support, and process documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage recurring deadlines
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally

Nice To Haves

  • Apparel or ecommerce industry experience a plus
  • Experience with Netsuite, Shopify, Ramp and other integrated systems a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly close process in NetSuite, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate classification of transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Prepare and analyze NetSuite reports to support month-end close, management reporting, and ad-hoc analysis
  • Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice entry, payment processing, and vendor management
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and key balance sheet accounts
  • Support inventory and cost accounting activities, including inventory reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Assist with sales tax setup, monitoring, and reporting across multiple states
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits and tax filings
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations and Merchandising to support accounting needs
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and system efficiencies within NetSuite
  • Document accounting procedures and support internal controls
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and reporting as needed
