About The Position

Carrier Enterprise is a joint venture between Watsco and Carrier. Carrier Enterprise distributes Carrier, Bryant and Payne residential and light commercial HVAC equipment products throughout the U.S. Sunbelt, Latin America and the Caribbean. The Staff Accountant position is a (remote role) responsible for functioning in a professional and knowledgeable manner. This position is an experienced level position that reports directly to an Accounting Supervisor and will perform the following responsibilities:

Requirements

Currently hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 3-5 years of experience;
Extensive hands on experience with the responsibilities/duties listed above;
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Excel and Word;
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to details;
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality with regard to the information that is processed;
Ability to work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other corporate team members and operational team members;
Ability to work well under pressure and within short deadlines; and
Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform daily reconciliation of Warehouse Transfers; research and resolve any issues;
Perform weekly audits of payments; review various prepaid accounts and record costs over the proper accounting period;
Perform monthly account reconciliations;
Record ship not billed accrual; sales cutoff testing;
Significant involvement in month end closing process;
Identify and manage projects to drive process improvements;
Assist with Internal and External Audit requirements;
Other responsibilities as assigned
