About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to support our accounting operations. This role will focus on accounts payable support, month-end close activities, and responding to accounting-related inquiries. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment while collaborating closely with the accounting team.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
Basic understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
Experience with accounting software (NetSuite or similar ERP a plus)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a remote environment
Clear written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a SaaS or recurring-revenue environment
Prior exposure to month-end close in a growing company
Comfort working independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

Assist with accounts payable (AP) processing, including invoice review, coding, and entry
Support the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and basic reconciliations
Monitor and respond to the accounting inbox/mailbox, addressing internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documentation
Assist with account reconciliations (e.g., cash, prepaid expenses, AP)
Support audits and ad hoc financial requests as needed
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues
Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency
