Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounting experience preferred (construction industry experience a plus)
  • CPA or progress toward certification is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive, ownership-driven approach to problem-solving

Responsibilities

  • Complete monthly books closing, Work-In-Progress report, and financial reports.
  • Manage subcontractor pay application and lien waiver software.
  • Post Subcontractor pay applications and Accounts Receivable pay applications into accounting system
  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Work with vendors, subcontractors to resolve discrepancies.
  • Work closely with project managers, field supervisors, and vendors to maintain accurate accounts.
  • Verify sales taxes are applied to invoices where applicable.
  • Review weekly accounts payable and payroll run.
  • Complete weekly accounts payable check run as needed.
  • Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees as needed.
  • Ability to verify and adjust timecards based on construction trade classifications and job costing.
  • Review payroll for jobs that have prevailing wage and produce certified payroll reports.
  • Compile, enter, organize, file, and maintain various paper, digital, and electronic documents and data into software and/or file server
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of team and company information
  • Assist Controller and other department roles with various projects
