Staff Accountant
About The Position
Armoured One, LLC located in Syracuse, NY is recruiting for a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant, under the direction of the Director of Finance, will support day-to-day transactions and month end closing to support their glass department.. Responsibilities include assisting with accounting, finance, and compliance. This position is a full time, onsite Exempt position. Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Remote work is not offered. Armoured One’s goal is to deter, prevent, defend, and protect against an Active Shooter or deadly aggressive behavior incident with solutions that save lives. Armoured One prides ourselves on using evidence-based strategies and proven techniques to offer the best solutions to protect against an active shooter attack.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2+ years of accounting experience preferably in construction or contracting.
- Strong knowledge of Prevailing wage regulations, financial reporting and accrual accounting practices.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
- Microsoft Office 365
- Google Suite
- High level of integrity.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
- Clear understanding of data privacy standards.
- Employment subject to pre-employment background screening
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency in accounting software (Rootstock, QuickBooks, com) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze the department budget with the departments
- Determination of prevailing wages for accurate certified Payroll.
- Assist with sales & use tax filings
- Accounts Payable reconciliation
- Support month end closing as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance
