Staff Accountant – Financial Shared Services The Staff Accountant – Financial Shared Services plays a critical role in building a centralized and scalable accounting function that supports the organization’s long‑term growth. This position is responsible for delivering consistent, accurate, and high‑quality financial information while advancing standardization, strengthening internal controls, and enhancing data governance across multiple business units. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, embraces continuous improvement, and seeks broad exposure across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting/ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • High level of integrity, sound judgment, and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general ledger activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable processing, and fixed asset management.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests, compliance activities, and documentation.
  • Help develop, document, and maintain standardized accounting policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to data governance efforts to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of financial information across systems and processes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance operational efficiency, and improve reporting quality.
  • Partner with teams across finance, operations, and shared services to improve process transparency and drive consistency.
  • Serve as a responsible steward of company assets and financial data, promoting strong ethical and control‑focused behaviors.
