About The Position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following list of functions is descriptive of the work to be performed but it should not be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, functions, or tasks that the job may require. Accounting Assist Controller in monthly close. Prepare journal entries. Prepare account reconciliations and analyses. Support the annual outside audit. Prepare sales and property tax returns. Financial Analysis. Analyze spending trends; work with Department Heads to help them understand their performance versus budget. Support Merchandise and Youth Camps profit centers. Revenue analysis--Ticket Sales and Sponsorship, Event profitability (such as concerts). Financial Planning Participate in the annual budgeting process. Assist CFO with interim financial forecasts. Prepare short-term cash forecasts periodically. Financial Reporting Assist Controller in preparation of monthly financial statements. Prepare "flash reports" for soccer matches and other stadium events. Assist CFO with preparation of annual financial report to Major League Soccer. Other Follow up on Receivables and track versus sponsor contracts. Execute wire transfers. Special projects for CFO Significant exposure to senior management NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist with other duties as assigned. QUALFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires an Accounting degree and 1 to 2 years of experience, solid accounting skills. QuickBooks experience preferred. Multitasker with high energy, and who wants to learn.
