About The Position

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their accounting career in a fast-paced, multi-entity organization. The Staff Accountant supports daily and monthly accounting activities, assists with month-end closing, and helps ensure the accuracy of financial data. This position works closely with senior accounting staff and the Corporate Controller.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience (internships or entry-level roles acceptable).
  • Experience preparing account reconciliations.
  • Basic understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices.
  • Proficiency with Excel (SUM, VLOOKUP, basic Pivot Tables) and ability to learn new systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Positive, adaptable attitude and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Perform balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations.
  • Research and resolve reconciliation variances under guidance from senior staff.
  • Assist with preparing journal entries (prepaids, accruals, Inventory, depreciation uploads, etc.).
  • Assist with inter-company receivable and payable reconciliations.
  • Record banking activity and help prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Reconcile corporate credit card activity and ensure proper GL coding.
  • Support fixed asset documentation and processing of additions.
  • Prepare recurring internal reports used by the accounting team.
  • Assist in documenting accounting procedures and maintaining internal controls.
  • Support annual audit preparation by gathering schedules and documentation.
  • Assist with preparing sales/use tax reports.
  • Provide general accounting assistance and perform other duties as assigned.
