This role reports directly to the Senior Accounting Manager and plays a key part in supporting core accounting operations and month-end close across a dynamic, multi-entity business.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in corporate or public accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfort navigating ERP systems and financial platforms
- A proactive, curious mindset with a desire to improve processes
Responsibilities
- Support the month-end close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries and accruals
- Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations (prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, leases, etc.)
- Maintain close calendars, checklists, and supporting documentation to ensure timely and accurate closes
- Support internal financial reporting by ensuring data integrity and completeness
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during close or audit processes
- Assist with variance analysis and collaborate with Finance to understand key business drivers
- Help document and enhance accounting processes as the company scales
- Identify automation and efficiency opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP standards
- Prepare audit support schedules and respond to auditor requests
- Assist with annual audit, tax, and other compliance initiatives
