The Staff Accountant will be an integral member of the Finance team for the growing Singer MD divisions (Ashland and EVI), working closely with the project division teams and reporting to the Regional Controller.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2-year accounting related experience.
Must be a perfectionist by nature, with no tolerance for financial sloppiness.
Understand and work with financial and numeric data.
Detail oriented and accurate with strong organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal, written and overall communication skills.
Maintain highest standards of accuracy and precision.
Strong relationship building skills, both external and internal.
Work independently and within a team environment.
Expected to grow capabilities to perform position with greater efficiency annually.
Multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Possess strong integrity and ethical character.
Skilled in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Nice To Haves

Preferable Sage ERP experience but not required.

Responsibilities

Create customer invoices in Sage ERP and customer billing platforms ensuring 100% reconciliation between all systems.
Provide AR collection support; review and follow up on customer past due balances.
Match and enter AP invoices in Sage ERP and assist with vendor payment process.
Process inventory transfer requests.
Provide other accounting support per direction from the Regional Controller.
