About The Position

This position requires strong accounting expertise and effective problem-solving skills to drive accuracy and efficiency. We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to support daily accounting functions, financial reporting, and month-end closing activities. The successful candidate will maintain precise financial records, ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations, and assist in improving internal processes within the finance team. Responsibilities include account reconciliations, data entry, and addressing discrepancies or disputed transactions in a timely manner. Prior experience in accounts receivable or accounts payable is preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. or an additional 3-year specific work experience in lieu of degree.
• 4 years of relevant/technical work experience
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills. (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP and pivots) and Microsoft office
• Ability to build effective working relationships.
• Ability to read and write at a proficient level.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced environment and changing business priorities.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree
• 7+ years relevant work experience
• Sarbanes Oxley experience

Responsibilities

• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions for a major program(s).
• Investigate, document, and resolve account and invoice discrepancies, recommending appropriate adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve internal and external customer inquiries in a timely manner.
• Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations for one or more business units.
• Research and process necessary stock adjustments.
• Support month-end and year-end close practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
