About The Position

Assist with all aspects of general ledger activity and full accounting cycle up to and including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Perform an independent review of financial information and proactively identify solutions for any issues identified.

Requirements

  • Minimum experience of 3-5 years
  • BS Degree in Accounting
  • Must be proficient in Accounting database systems, report writing, word-processing, database management, spreadsheet applications, preferably Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile General Ledger accounts for control and accuracy.
  • Handle month-end closing entries, including accruals, depreciation expense, prepaids, adjustments, and reclassifications; make recommendations based on analysis.
  • Maintain the lease accounting software and fixed asset software, including new leases and monthly amortization entries.
  • Respond to requests from internal and external customers/vendors.
  • Support financial audit requests
  • Assist with balance sheet management and preparation of monthly financial statements according to GAAP.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly departmental expenditure reports for management.
  • Serves as contact for expenses questions from departments.
  • Responsible for vendor maintenance, which includes establishing new vendors in the system as provided by buyers.
  • Maintain and monitor employee credit card transactions through Expense Point.
  • Other duties assigned.
