About The Position

The SRM Threading Operator shall operate and assist in the functions of
threading for the continuous operation of the threading machine in accordance
with mill policies and procedures. He/she will ensure a safe and compliant
operation during his/her shift.

Working Conditions:

Working conditions are the same as the conditions provided in the pipe
manufacturing industry. Working environment temperature is in parallel with
weather conditions. It requires working in dusty, noisy, and greasy
environments. Work involves lifting, pulling and/or pushing of materials and
product up to 50 pounds, and standing and walking considerable distances.
Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but
not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and
hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

1. Qualifications:

1.1. A High School diploma or GED equivalent.

1.2. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.

1.3. Experience with operating automated equipment preferred.

1.4. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery, hand tools, and
hand-held measurement devices.

1.5. Knowledge of Threading manufacturing processes and procedures for at
least one year is a plus.

1.6. Employee must be able to work with a flexible schedule which may require
over-time and weekends when necessary.

2. Responsibilities:

2.1. Responsible for threading machine set-up during size changeovers.

2.2. Ensure the threading conforms to the quality requirement on the work
order.

2.3. Communicating the product’s details and unfinished duties whenever there
is a change of operator.

2.4. Read work orders to determine production specifications and information.

2.5. This position serves as a back-up for the Hydrotester,Pre-Visual Check
Operator when necessary.

2.6. Maintain a good machine condition by observing machine operations,
detecting machinery malfunctions, and making required corrections.

2.7. Communicate to Supervisor and Engineer when necessary.

2.8. Communicate and work together with the workstation operators

2.9. Reject non-conforming products and readjust equipment to correct
problems.

2.10.Employee must follow all PPE policies and safety rules.

2.11. Employee must follow the 5S implementation procedure.

2.12.Communicate to Supervisor and Engineer any problems with material and
equipment.

3. Activities:

3.1. Inspecting threading in accordance to ASTM and or Standard Operating
Procedure

3.2. Employee must report to his immediate supervisor and Engineer for
briefing on daily tasks.

3.3. Provide and assist with maintenance on the equipment he/she is
operating.

3.4. This position may require operating Forklift and Overhead Crane.

3.5. Keep the work environment clean and tidy

3.6. Check that all machinery is properly serviced before starting up and
during shift

3.7. Assist in repair and replacement of equipment during maintenance
shutdowns.

3.8. Communicate with crew to achieve a quality product.

3.9. Assist in changeovers and maintenance

3.10. Other duties as assigned.

4. Authority and Obligation:

4.1. This position has the authority to stop all SRM pipe line operation at
any time that is deemed necessary for reasons of safety, quality, or priority.
