About The Position

The Workplace Technology Administrator is a Sr role that ensures employees have secure, reliable, and modern technology to perform their jobs effectively and efficiently. This position blends end-end service management, research, solution design, implementation lead, endpoint administration, day-to-day user support escalations, and AV/conferencing service management — while also ensuring adherence to standards for all applications under the workplace technology umbrella— to create a seamless and productive workplace technology experience. This role reports to the Systems Integration Manager.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of experience in endpoint administration, IT support, or workplace technology roles.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
  • Strong knowledge of email systems, O365 Exchange, Google Enterprise
  • Experience with modern device management platforms (Microsoft Intune, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory/Azure Entra, Okta SSO/SCIM, MFA, and directory integrations.
  • basic networking.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles and processes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 40 lbs.) and occasionally work outside normal business hours for upgrades or events.

Responsibilities

  • Vendor & Inventory Coordination Work with hardware/software vendors for procurement, licensing renewals, warranties, and repairs.
  • Process purchase requisitions, track budgets, and reconcile technology-related invoices.
  • Manage relationships with managed service providers as needed.
  • Oversee managed services and performance against SLAs.
  • Endpoint & Device Management Design, implement, and maintain the standards around deployment, configuration, maintenance, and decommission of laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals across the organization.
  • Design, implement, and manage device lifecycle using MDM/MAM solutions and imaging/autopilot processes.
  • Coordinate/perform software OS upgrades, patching, and application packaging to keep endpoints secure and up to date.
  • Maintain accurate hardware/software inventory and asset tracking.
  • End-User Support & Experience Provide Tier-3 support for hardware, software, printers, and collaboration tools.
  • Deliver white glove support for executives and VIPs when required.
  • Audio-Visual & Meeting Room Technology Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV and video conferencing systems (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Logitech, etc.).
  • Maintain conference room technology, smart boards, projectors, and digital signage.
  • Support hybrid and in-person meetings, town halls, and company events.
  • Security & Compliance Work with Information Security staff to enforce endpoint security policies.
  • Ensure devices remain compliant with corporate standards and regulatory requirements (patching).
  • Respond to the Security team’s alerts and coordinate remediation of compromised endpoints or end users.
  • Documentation, Training & Communication Create and maintain knowledge base articles, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and optimize IAM processes.
  • Guide ServiceDesk team on Workplace Technology tools and best practices.
  • Communicate system outages, maintenance windows, and upgrades to the organization.
  • Process Improvement & Reporting Develop and optimize IAM processes.
  • Monitor ticket trends, device performance, and user satisfaction metrics; propose proactive improvements.
  • Generate regular reports on asset utilization, support volume, compliance status, and project progress.
  • Pilot and evaluate new workplace technologies (collaboration tools, automation, AI assistants, etc.)
