About The Position

Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity. As Senior Technical Program Manager, you'll be at the helm of this ambitious mission, architecting the systems that will connect millions to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical execution, as you guide the development, integration, and testing of satellite constellation systems. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
  • Experience with high volume manufacturing test methods, concepts and solutions.
  • Ability to lead interdisciplinary discussions between Hardware, Reliability, Software, Firmware, etc to define and drive scope and clarity of work, and reach optimum system level trades.
  • Experience in high speed characterization of devices, operation of high speed and high frequency test equipment, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and high-speed oscilloscopes.
  • Experience developing high-performance systems for aerospace applications or systems operating in extreme environments.
  • Experience in automated testing and system characterization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to regularly engage with senior stake holders and influence across the organization.
  • High sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
  • Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Benefits

  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market.
  • Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
