About The Position

Job Summary: At Centrus Energy, we’re powering the future with cutting-edge technology — and we need an Electronics Design Engineer to help us make it happen. If you get excited about designing advanced electronics for motor controls, instrumentation, and electric machinery, this is your chance to turn big ideas into real-world solutions. You’ll work on everything from power electronics circuit design to embedded systems, blending creativity with precision engineering to keep our facilities running at their best. What You Will Do? You’ll take on the challenge of designing and deploying next-generation control and drive electronics for our Oak Ridge, TN and Piketon, OH sites. From creating detailed design packages and testing electronics to troubleshooting complex systems, you’ll be hands-on with projects that directly impact nuclear energy technology. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, lead projects, mentor engineers, and interact with both Centrus leadership and the U.S. Department of Energy. Every day, you’ll push boundaries by applying analytical methods, simulations, and industry standards to design safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions that keep our operations moving forward.
