About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineering organization is seeking a motivated Sr. Test & Validation Engineer to support the Raytheon Forest Consolidated Manufacturing Center (CMC). As a Sr. Test & Validation Engineer, you’ll work within production operations and the manufacturing discipline and will partner with a multi-disciplined team of engineers to develop and evaluate test processes, special test equipment, data analysis tools and test requirements. This job is posted as ONSITE and is located at Raytheon’s Forest, MS facility.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and typically a minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science / Computer Engineering
  • Experience analyzing test data and / or determining if hardware meets specification
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred major in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Experience with RF systems
  • Experience diagnosing and isolating technical issues with test equipment and production hardware
  • Experience interpreting product specifications and requirements
  • Experience with use of optical fiber in communication systems
  • Experience with modern Automated Test Systems for electronics
  • Experience performing analysis of technical data

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining Test Procedures
  • Root cause analysis and resolution of test failures (hardware and test environment)
  • Maintaining related STE (Special Test Equipment) and specifying replacement equipment when required (obsolescence)
  • Training technicians to use Test Procedures and providing written directions for troubleshooting instruction
  • Transforming complex information and data into clear, concise and visually engaging slides
  • Training entry level Test Engineers on test process
  • Some travel may be required ( <10%)
