About The Position

As a Senior Technical Trainer on the Education Team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the industry workforce by driving the adoption of cutting-edge technology in energy storage, vehicle charging, and solar generation. This role involves leading educational initiatives, implementing improvements, and developing new programs that directly impact industry professionals. Success in this position means delivering outcomes that enhance customer onboarding experiences with products like Powerwall, solar panels, and electric vehicle (EV) wall connectors. Ideal candidates thrive on tackling complex challenges, actively seek peer feedback, and make data-driven programmatic decisions. Certify others in critical practices using diverse teaching methods and environments, including facilitating hands-on classroom activities, leading virtual training sessions, demonstrating skills as prescribed, and providing on-the-job coaching Maintain superior workstations by incorporating 5S theory, prioritizing organization, systematic approaches, and preparedness across all job tasks Acquire a deep understanding of Tesla products through regular communication with trainers, engineers, technical writers, and field technicians, documenting efforts frequently, learning from results, and applying changes Identify opportunities to enhance safety, efficiency, and quality for the entire team, pursue projects that bring integral changes to internal processes, and champion efforts to elevate standards Act as the spokesperson for energy training at the assigned location, assisting special guests and visitors Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align training programs with evolving industry needs Drive continuous improvement by integrating feedback and results into training methodologies Ability to work in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety regulations

Requirements

  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment where objectives and responsibilities may adapt to evolving industry needs
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite and related tools for efficient communication of information
  • Commitment to ongoing upskilling through completion of certification programs and regular field work
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to deliver complex technical training in accessible, non-technical language

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman electrical license holder preferred
  • Knowledge of Tesla Powerwall systems, including basic theory of operations and installation best practices
