About The Position

The Sr. Technical Advisor at KBR Technical Services, Inc. in Houston, TX, provides technical support and leadership for chemical engineering activities within the Olefins Technology Group. This role involves performing feasibility studies, developing engineering design deliverables, conducting technical meetings with clients, and managing interdisciplinary meetings and information transfer. The advisor offers lifecycle technical support from basic engineering to plant operation, evaluates and develops process improvements based on engineering and plant operating data, and mentors and trains junior team members. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience.
  • 10 years of experience in Olefins process design, optimization or operation.
  • 10 years of experience utilizing process design simulation software Aspen to develop new or revamped designs.
  • 5 years of experience leading process engineering teams on basic engineering technology projects.
  • International travel required up to 15% and domestic travel required up to 5% to support client meetings and plant operations as needed.
