Requirements

  • FAA Commercial/ATP certification
  • Strong understanding of FAR’s, PRD, FAA Type ratings and safety sensitive responsibilities
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and effective outreach skills
  • Attention to detail, time management, and strong ability to influence
  • Ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with internal and external customers
  • Must be able to work in fast-paced team environment with varying hours and days
  • Presents a professional, business-like image while representing Wheels Up
  • Advanced skills in reporting, Applicant tracking system (iCIMS experience preferred), tracking KPI metrics, ROI from events, as well as proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Smartsheet and PowerPoint

  • Minimum 5 years recruitment experience

Responsibilities

  • Support core HR processes, such as implementing strategies to attract pilots through various channels
  • Pro-actively reach out to pilots and pre-screen pilots for assessment
  • Proactively source, screen, interview, and recommend candidates for open roles
  • Interview applicants to evaluate work history, education, training, and job skills
  • Analyze data related to pilot souring, hiring, and application loss reasons to identify changes and implement solutions
  • Inform and counsel candidates on our values, benefits, salary, and culture/ environment
  • Attend career/ job fairs and other pilot recruiting events
  • Create and maintain formal relationships with flight schools, universities, armed services, and other industry related organizations
  • Remain current on all employment related issues including Employee Relations, Labor Laws (State, Federal, Regional), Compensation, Hiring, Benefits, etc.
  • Maintain technical competency in the Aviation career field applicable to Pilot/MX and all Operations roles
  • Must have a passion for mentoring and be willing to guide and provide tools to candidates to help them achieve their career goals
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
