We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers. Raytheon’s Mission Capability and Verification Center (MCVC) located on White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), NM is searching for a qualified Senior Systems Engineer to join the Sensors and BMCI team to support various tasks in support of the HAWK Fair Share Sustainment Program (FSSP), and work closely with the HAWK customer as well as the Raytheon HAWK Program Office (PMO). The candidate for this role must have a strong technical knowledge of air defense or related systems, with focus on operations and maintenance. Occasional travel within the United States and internationally is required. This is an onsite position at WSMR located in White Sands, NM.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience with electronics, circuitry, schematics, and/or RF hardware
  • Prior experience operating, maintaining and / or provide engineering assessment and corrective actions on faulted equipment
  • Install and test customer work orders and engineering modifications as required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a rapid paced and dynamic test environment
  • Five years’ experience with the HAWK Air Defense Missile System, including operations, test, and logistics.
  • Successful completion of HAWK school is a plus
  • SICO and/or systems upgrades experience for air defense system
  • Experience with data analysis

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on integration, operation, and maintenance of multiple HAWK assets
  • Troubleshoot and assist in the repair of components using schematics and standard and specialized test equipment – such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power meters, frequency counters, spectrum and digital analyzers
  • Support data collection, perform analysis and assist with problem-solving of systems issues real-time
  • Work in a team environment and directly interface with customers and management across multiple disciplines
