Sr. System Control Integration Engineer, Industrial Energy Products

Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering with control focus, or equivalent experience
- Strong working knowledge of control theory, stability, transfer functions and control block diagrams
- Experience with Python and modeling & simulation software (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink)
- Hands-on experience with Modbus and CAN
- Hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, and software engineering components and an understanding of how they interact in a complex product
- Working understanding of how grid-tied storage systems function and interact with the grid
- AC connected power electronics control design/test background and systems integration experience
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills, able to identify and surface issues within complex HW/SW systems
- Effective communicator and excellent attention to detail

- Fluent with the embedded microprocessor design process: compilers, debuggers, and Git
Responsibilities
- Perform system control integration of next generation Tesla industrial energy storage
- Hands-on testing, debugging and troubleshooting on product hardware and software
- Designing and implementing next generation automated test sequence to fully capture BESS system with grid interaction behavior
- Lead and own test plan definition for new firmware and software feature with continuous feedback for new hardware revisions
- Identify, escalate, and resolve issues with hardware and firmware during system bring up, utility performance, and grid contingency test
- Key leader of FMEA as part of the product design, integration, and test process
