This position may be based in San Jose, CA or Santa Clara, CA. The Systems Integration and Analytics Engineer is responsible for system level integration of capital equipment products, tools, and simulators that consist of software, electrical, and electro-mechanical subsystems, as well as performing system analytics. You will participate on multi-functional teams to design, develop, and test groundbreaking medical devices! You will understand the system from both a technical perspective and the user’s viewpoint, and drive development and performance of the Monarch system. Requirements

  • One of the following combinations of education and years of experience are required: A. 3+ years of relevant industry experience developing sophisticated robotics applications or complex electro-mechanical systems in combination with a MSc in ME, CS or EE or equivalent, OR B. 0+ years with PhD in developing sophisticated robotics applications or complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of mechanical design, mechatronics, systems and sensors, and/or electronics and software is required.
  • Intermediate statistical analysis experience is required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a multifunctional team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL, experience with Databricks or other data lakehouse systems is also a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of FDA and ISO regulations preferred (i.e. FDA CFR Part 820 and/or ISO13485).
  • Experience with Linux and working within a Linux environment is a plus.
  • Regulated industry (e.g. aerospace) is desireable.
  • Experience in the medical device industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to tie all aspects of the system together and meet program goals.
  • Lead the integration of subsystems
  • Lead the design, development and testing of tools, fixtures, dashboards and simulators
  • Perform system analytics using SQL, generate metrics, and interrogate data using statistical methods and visual dashboarding
  • Perform testing, analyze results, and make data-based recommendations to the team.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical/marketing, program management, and the engineering design teams.
  • Work cross-disciplinarily to provide hands-on system troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Apply sound engineering methods and documentation processes to perform design reviews and failure mode analyses.
