About The Position

This position is responsible for leading and directing a team to achieve GGP farm objectives. The role focuses on meeting production and compliance goals, developing a qualified and effective workforce, maintaining strong employee relations, and ensuring efficient operations within budget and infrastructure standards.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Limited prior experience acceptable.
  • Ability to work independently and evaluate alternatives in situations not fully covered by written procedures.
  • Proficiency in data collection and management using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Minimal domestic travel required.
  • This position works in a biosecure environment and requires showering before entering the facility; multiple showers may be required during the workday.
  • Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company.
  • No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except medical ID jewelry.
  • Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with all avian species (including chickens, ducks, and birds).
  • The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times.
  • Must use safe lifting techniques.
  • Regularly required to: Stand, walk, and sit.
  • Regularly required to: Use hands to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Regularly required to: Reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly required to: Balance and stoop.
  • Regularly required to: Talk and hear.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • When visiting facilities, team members are expected to follow all required safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve established production objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
  • Develop, coach, and maintain a qualified and effective team.
  • Foster positive employee relations.
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret flock production system data.
  • Operate within established operational and capital budget guidelines.
  • Ensure farm infrastructure is effectively maintained.
  • Supervising an individual or small group of non-exempt team members (e.g., clerical, administrative, or production).
  • Training, monitoring work quality, and coaching team members on performance.
