About The Position

The Sr. Process Engineer will be leading the composite process development work in Owego. They will work to help define additional processes to improve both yield and cost savings. In addition they will also be an integral part of the team working with adhesives and sealants for our circuit board manufacturing line.

Requirements

B.S, M.S. in Material Science and Engineering or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
5 years of experience working with non-metallic materials such as sealants, adhesives, polymers and/or composites
Experience developing process/ working with additional teams such as machine shop for finishing
Understanding material property testing/ASTM standards and failure analysis.
Strong verbal and written communication/interpersonal skills
Hands on project or work experience
Candidate must be able to obtain & maintain a secret security clearance. Obtaining a security clearance requires US citizenship

Autoclave/ Heat Treatment cure cycle development
Ability to setup/transition new equipment and new manufacturing technologies
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and detailed specifications
Ability to create and revise material and process specifications, reports, and test plans
Experience preparing and delivering technical presentations
Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail to create high-quality work products
Knowledgeable of general manufacturing and integration processes
