Sims-Lohman is currently searching for an Sr. Staff Accountant who will support the General Accounting function by maintaining the general ledger, generating financial reports and statements, ensuring department and company-wide objectives are met. As the Sr. Staff Accountant one could expect to: perform sales reporting and reconciliation activities, prepare monthly commission calculations, assist with the monthly closing activities, prepare monthly financial statements, consolidations and supporting schedules, research variances from budgeted values, file various local business licenses and taxes, prepare annual audit and tax schedules for outside accountants, conduct financial, cost and operational variance analysis, prepare and improve sales tax filings, and support due diligence, merger and acquisition activity on an as needed basis.
