About The Position

The candidate will serve as a communications FSR for program aircraft, ground sites, and support equipment with responsibilities including, but not limited to command and mission communications and information systems. Essential Functions:  Support aircraft launch / recovery, provide engineering and technical support to both Operations and Maintenance toward the resolution of system issues and provide logistics support when needed. Complete field team repairs and modifications on program aircraft and components. Supporting, imaging and configuration of program assets, FAA return to service of program components, configuration management, informal training, engineering drawing and technical publications interpretation. Interface with the Customer, Users, and subcontractors as required in support of program requirements. Occasional overtime along with dayshift, swing shift and rotating on-call for nights and weekends are required.  Ability to work in a demanding environment. Working knowledge of aircraft communications systems and ground systems. Troubleshoot aircraft communications systems. Configuring, troubleshooting and testing of aircraft and mission communications systems. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with six (6) years of aircraft mission communications systems, maintenance and modification experience.
  • Graduate Degree with four (4) years of aircraft mission communications systems, maintenance and modification experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of ten (10) years of aircraft mission communications systems, maintenance and modification experience.
  • Must have an active Top Secret DoD Clearance with SCI eligibility at the time of hire.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft communications systems and ground systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a military environment and use of military Vehicle Maintenance Forms.
  • Technical and aircraft wiring diagram experience.
  • Visio experience.
