About The Position

The President and Corporate Development Office is seeking a Senior Corporate Communications Specialist who can translate corporate strategy into clear, engaging content for employees across the organization. This role also builds and evolves the stories that bring the history of Pokémon, The Pokémon Company International, and the enduring philosophy of the Pokémon brand to life—helping employees understand not only where the company is going, but what it stands for and their role as producers. This role requires the ability to operate fluently across high-level leadership mental frameworks (enterprise strategy, long-term planning, and business priorities) and employee-level mental frameworks (day-to-day execution, functional context, and individual contribution). The Senior Corporate Communications Specialist will translate complex, often abstract ideas—ranging from corporate plans and quantitative priorities to qualitative cultural narratives—into compelling, visually engaging, and digestible content for audiences at different levels and across various functions.

Requirements

  • Senior Corporate Communications Experience (10+ years): Experience in corporate, internal, or executive communications within a complex, fast-paced organization.
  • Strategy Translation & Storytelling: Proven ability to deliver and update corporate strategy for internal audiences and translate long-term plans into engaging, employee-facing content.
  • Presentation & Visual Communication Expertise: Advanced skill in developing concise, visually focused, story-driven presentations and materials that are easy to digest and delivered independently without agency support.
  • Data & Quantitative Communication: Demonstrated ability to work with data, metrics, and quantitative information, translating them into clear, compelling narratives and visuals for non-technical audiences.
  • Audience Versatility: Experience working across diverse content types and audience levels, from executives to junior employees and across multiple enterprise functions.
  • Execution Speed & Ownership: Ability to operate with urgency, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work autonomously.

Nice To Haves

  • Company History & Philosophy Learning Content: Experience developing employee learning or onboarding content that brings company history, philosophies, and guiding principles to life in an accessible and engaging way is a big plus.
  • Pokémon Knowledge (Plus): Familiarity with the Pokémon brand, history, and philosophy—and an understanding of employees’ roles as producers—is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy-to-Employee Translator: Translate executive thinking, enterprise strategy, and long-term corporate plans into clear, engaging, and actionable content for employees across levels and functions. Develop and evolve employee-facing narratives that bring to life the history of Pokémon, TPCi, and the enduring philosophy of the Pokémon brand – clarifying what Pokémon stands and how employee contributes as producers.
  • Executive & Leadership Communications Support: Partner closely with executives and senior leaders to craft written communications and virtually compelling presentations, including leadership messages, internal updates, and strategic narratives. Ensure content is visually compelling, and easy to digest.
  • Enterprise Planning Communications: Support the Chief of Staff in developing employee communications for major company milestones, including the 2026 Plan wrap-up and the next five-year plan rollouts. Translate complex, multi-year plans into narratives and materials that resonate with managers and employees.
  • Employee Learning & Training Content: Develop engaging employee training and onboarding content in partnership with the Chief of Staff and cross-functional teams, including company history, Pokémon Producer Basics, and foundational enterprise knowledge. Adapt content to different audience levels, learning styles, and functional contexts.
  • Corporate Website Content: Support updates to the corporate website, ensuring content is accurate, current, and aligned with leadership messaging, company strategy, and corporate brand standards.
  • Message Alignment: Ensure external-facing content aligns with internal narratives and reinforces consistent storytelling across audiences.
  • Crisis Messaging Development: Draft internal and external crisis communications based on crisis response plans developed by the Chief of Staff or Director of Corporate Communications.
  • Rapid Response Execution: Support leadership and communications stakeholders with timely, clear, and well-structured messaging during sensitive or high-pressure situations.
