Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, sustainability, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience delivering commercial or fleet EV charging infrastructure projects, preferably across retail, workplace, or facilities environments.
  • Hands-on experience managing EV charging installations end-to-end, including site design, utility coordination, construction, commissioning, and operational handoff.
  • Proven ability to draft and lead large-scale RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs through partner selection, contracting, and onboarding.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience evaluating vendor proposals, pricing models, and service offerings.
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with purchasing, legal, facilities, construction, and operations teams.
  • Deep familiarity with commercial EV charging equipment, network platforms, and installation considerations, including NEC, UL, and utility requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across a geographically distributed footprint.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to track risks, dependencies, and timelines.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, capable of aligning internal stakeholders and holding external partners accountable.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills using tools such as JIRA or Confluence.
  • A builder mindset with the ability to create structure, processes, and scalable solutions in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end execution of Scout’s retail and facilities charging programs, supporting the deployment of turnkey EV charging solutions across Scout retail centers, service locations, corporate offices, and manufacturing facilities nationwide.
  • Lead large-scale RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs to select turnkey charging solution partners capable of providing charging hardware, network software, installation, commissioning, and ongoing operations and maintenance for Scout locations.
  • Manage the commercial and operational evaluation of charging partners, including pricing structures, scope of services, SLAs, uptime guarantees, maintenance models, warranty coverage, and national rollout capabilities.
  • Work closely with Retail Architecture, Retail Operations, Facilities, and Construction teams to ensure charging solutions align with site layouts, electrical constraints, utility requirements, customer experience standards, and long-term operational needs.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Purchasing, Legal, Finance, and Engineering to support contract development, negotiations, onboarding, and readiness for deployment.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on EV charging installation projects, advising internal stakeholders on site feasibility, power requirements, equipment selection, construction sequencing, and risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate with turnkey providers to support site surveys, utility coordination, permitting workflows, installation timelines, commissioning, and handoff to operations.
  • Lead charging site design in partnership with Retail Architecture and Facilities teams, ensuring charger placement, power allocation, stall layouts, signage, and accessibility are optimized for maximum operational efficiency, safety, scalability, and best-in-class customer experience across Scout retail centers and facilities.
  • Own charging site design standards and deployment playbooks from concept through steady-state operations, establishing repeatable layouts, technical requirements, and operational guidelines that enable consistent, high-quality charging experiences across Scout’s nationwide retail and facilities footprint.
  • Support the onboarding and ongoing performance management of charging partners, including KPI tracking for installation quality, schedule adherence, system uptime, and service responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with Digital Products, Corporate IT, and Charging Operations teams to ensure charging systems integrate with Scout’s broader charging ecosystem where applicable.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and incentive programs related to commercial EV charging infrastructure to inform partner selection and rollout strategy.
  • Represent Scout in supplier reviews, site walk-throughs, and cross-functional planning sessions to ensure charging deployments meet Scout’s brand, safety, and customer experience standards.

  • Pay Transparency This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program.
  • Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.
  • The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
  • Initial base salary range = $130,000.00 - $160,000.00
