About The Position

What Technical Marketing contributes to Cardinal Health Technical Marketing is responsible for assessing customer needs, market conditions and competition to inform business strategy. Also, implements the strategy through developing, commercializing and monitoring the appropriate products and services. Technical Marketing is responsible for creating a technical product or solution, developing, designing, and owning the driving the technical marketing strategy to successfully build new, and grow current, products and solutions in the market. Summary Sr Spec, Technical Sales is responsible for supporting the sales and marketing organization to achieve the strategic and sales objectives. Provides trusted advice, technical and professional expertise during the sales process. Manages and optimizes supplier relationships and product portfolio to drive financial results, increase market share and exceed customer expectations.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of operating room and/or cath lab experience
  • Technical certification in a related field or equivalent clinical experience
  • Strong understanding of surgical procedures
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Active Puerto Rico Driver License is required
  • Ability to travel locally
  • Apply experience on the performance of role responsibilities
  • Execute on projects of moderate scope and complexity
  • Identify possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes action to resolve
  • Apply judgment within defined parameters
  • Receives general guidance and may receive more detailed instruction on new projects
  • Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Promotes products in surgical and patient care environments, providing technical expertise and clinical support to surgeons, nurses, and operating room staff.
  • Supports the design, evaluation, and implementation process for custom surgical products. Ensures alignment with clinical needs and operational efficiency.
  • Monitors and manages custom product components and substitutions to maintain contract compliance and customer satisfaction.
  • Executes educational programs, to drive product knowledge and promote best-in-class practices.
  • Addresses and resolves product complaints, ensuring timely and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to support sales tools, productivity improvements, contract administration, and business analytics.
