Your Role: This role is a chance to become the go‑to technology partner for Baxter’s executive leadership team — the people steering a global healthcare company whose products literally save and sustain lives. You’ll be embedded in the heart of the organization in Deerfield, providing white‑glove support to the CEO, his direct reports, and board members. The work is hands‑on, varied, and highly visible: supporting quarterly earnings calls, board meetings, town halls, and major leadership events; troubleshooting everything from Windows and Mac devices to Cisco Telepresence and AV setups; and ensuring that every executive interaction with technology feels seamless. It’s a role for someone who thrives under pressure, stays calm when plans change, and enjoys being the person everyone trusts when the stakes are high. The hiring manager, has been with Baxter for more than 13 years and is known for developing people, creating stability, and fostering a genuinely supportive environment. You’ll partner closely with a fellow Senior IT Specialist, sharing responsibility for 24/7 executive support, rotating on‑call coverage, and occasional travel to off‑site leadership meetings — typically a handful of trips per year. The team values problem‑solvers who communicate well, think on their feet, and bring a continuous‑improvement mindset. And because you’ll build long‑term relationships with executives and their admins, this is a role where you can grow deep expertise, influence how VIP support is delivered, and see firsthand how Baxter’s mission comes to life through patient stories, product demos, and company‑wide events. It’s a rare blend of technical challenge, visibility, and purpose. This role is fully onsite in Deerfield, IL, five days a week, with on ‑ call coverage every other weekend.
