About The Position

Product Biochemistry at Regeneron is seeking a highly motived and experienced scientist to join our team. In this exciting role, you will contribute to analytical characterization studies to support the life cycle management of biologics and biotherapeutics, including but not limited to monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies and other modalities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytical characterization to drive innovation in biochemical and biophysical method development, and will foster productive collaboration, act as a subject matter expert/technical resource within cross-functional teams to advance developmental pipeline. A Typical Day in the Role Might Look Like: Independently develop and execute biochemical and biophysical characterization workflows to support the life cycle management of Regeneron commercial programs. Build in-depth understanding of degradation profile(s) of biologics and biotherapeutics and its impact on binding and potency. Develop, optimize and execute new analytical methods to characterize challenging biologics and biotherapeutics in formulation buffer/condition. Develop core expertise in binding affinity and kinetics assays and conduct binding assays using SPR, BLI and other technology platforms. Resolve key project challenges by optimally utilizing available analytical techniques, information and expertise. Record, analyze, and report data timely and concisely, formulate conclusions and provide project updates internally as well as to cross-functional teams and senior management. This Role Might Be for You If You: Have familiarity with GxP requirements in assay execution, method qualification, instrument maintenance and documentation; concept of method qualification and qualified instruments preferred Are hardworking, efficient, flexible, and able to perform key responsibilities in a fast-paced, team environment Have the ability and passion for independently learning new methods and software Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare slides and author reports and manuscripts for internal and external presentations This role requires BS or MS or PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, chemistry, biology or related field with typically 10+ (BS), 8+ (MS) or 0+ (PhD) years of experience. A proven theoretical and practical understanding of biochemistry and biophysics with the ability to learn and master innovative technologies is required. In-depth experience with various biochemical and biophysical methods, such as SPR, BLI, ELISA, DLS, etc is needed. Deep understanding of protein structure, thermodynamics, and molecular interaction is a plus. Robust analytical knowledge with demonstrated proficiency in chromatographic and capillary electrophoresis techniques is a plus. Direct experience with characterization of monoclonal antibodies in formulation buffer/condition is a plus. Experience in CMC analytical development of monoclonal antibodies or biotherapeutics is a plus. Understanding of host cell proteins and their impact on biologics and biotherapeutics is a plus.
