Role Overview: The Senior Salesforce Developer serves as a technical expert responsible for designing, architecting, and developing scalable solutions within the Salesforce platform. With 8+ years of Salesforce experience, this role supports technology assessments, platform upgrades, system migrations, and modernization initiatives while guiding clients through digital transformation efforts and adhering to established best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum: 8 years of hands‑on Salesforce development experience
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II certification
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Proven ability to lead solution design sessions and provide technical mentorship
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: 10+ years of total software development experience
  • Master's degree preferred but not required
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience acceptable
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools (Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT)
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Shield (Event Monitoring, Field Audit Trail, Encryption)
  • Experience with asynchronous Apex (Batch Apex, Queueable, Future methods)
  • Knowledge of MuleSoft or other middleware platforms
  • Experience in multi‑org, enterprise, or complex integration environments
  • Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certifications
  • Experience in government, finance, healthcare, or other regulated industries
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP, FISMA, or comparable compliance frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain solutions using Salesforce Lightning, LWC, Aura Components, Apex, Visualforce, triggers, and automation tools such as Flows and Process Builder
  • Build scalable, reusable, and efficient Lightning Web Components and Aura Components
  • Write high‑quality, maintainable Apex code with attention to performance and adherence to best practices
  • Identify and remediate PMD rule violations, including reducing cyclomatic and cognitive complexity
  • Develop optimized, non‑recursive Salesforce triggers following platform best practices
  • Integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST, SOAP, and Bulk APIs in both real‑time and batch modes
  • Apply strong knowledge of Salesforce security and data modeling principles
  • Use GitHub, deployment tools, and JIRA to support development and release processes
  • Perform unit testing, troubleshooting, and code reviews to ensure code quality and compliance
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Lead technical design sessions and create supporting technical documentation
  • Conduct system assessments and recommend modernization or reengineering strategies
  • Prepare data flow diagrams, integration architecture, and component design specifications
  • Work with enterprise architects to ensure adherence to organizational standards
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical governance
