As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you'll play a key role in designing and building solutions that support clinical applications, workflows and the UCSF Health contact center. You'll use your expertise with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Data Cloud, and integrations to create reliable, scalable systems that help clinicians document, access, and share information effectively. You'll collaborate with clinical and business teams to translate real-world workflows into Salesforce solutions, ensuring that applications meet both operational needs and compliance standards. You'll also contribute to improving development practices through CI/CD and package management, while helping to shape the future of our Salesforce platform. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $133,300 - $219,500 (Annual Rate).   • Bachelor's degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area, and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
  • Certification: Salesforce Platform Developer I & II Salesforce Administrator Salesforce Platform App Builder
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce development, including but not limited to Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and other Salesforce technologies.
  • Knowledge of operations, systems, and functions, including planning, design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated experience with CTI integration frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and package-based development.
  • Strong background in technical configuration and integration with web and enterprise applications.
  • Understanding of contact center operations (call routing, queue management, IVR flows, agent skill assignment, service level reporting).
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, PCI, or other regulatory standards.
  • Ability to apply advanced problem-resolution skills to highly complex issues across multiple domains to quickly diagnose problems, and develop, test, and implement appropriate and effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Advanced interpersonal communication skills to effectively train, support, and collaborate productively with clinical users and key stakeholders at all professional and technical levels.
  • Advanced written and verbal communications skills to convey highly technical information and instructions to all levels of clinical users and staff in a specific, clear, and concise manner.
  • Advanced analytical skills and expertise in documentation and reporting, with the ability to apply metrics, plan and implement testing systems, collect and analyze performance data, and produce substantive reports and analyses for management use.
  • Advanced ability to serve as a technical leader and information resource, and to work collaboratively with key personnel and management, providing guidance and recommendations on systems, improvements, upgrades, and industry advances and trends.
  • Advanced organizational and project management skills, and the ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and see projects through from inception to completion on schedule.
