Overview The Senior Risk Analyst provides sales support to existing and prospective clients by monitoring and analyzing new property and casualty trends and their implications. This role helps create new opportunities for earning business, makes recommendations based on analysis to clients and co-workers, and manages workloads and respective time-constraints of team members. This role is a part of a unified approach to increasing and retaining clients outlaid by the Director of Risk Analytics and overall AssuredPartners leadership. S/he provides technical expertise related to this role by performing the following duties.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and risk modeling tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Tableau, R).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling, actuarial analysis, or statistical risk assessments.
  • Learns and applies new lessons (i.e., unassigned and assigned lessons during working hours) to consistently improve resourcefulness.
  • Knowledge of agency management systems
  • 5+ years of experience in risk management, insurance, data analytics, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in risk management, mathematics, finance, accounting, actuarial science, computer science, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CRM, ARM, CPCU, or CFA) are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead producers in understanding risk analysis possibilities, tailoring analyses for internal teams and client presentations.
  • Present exposure and loss analytics to clients, prospects, and senior leadership, translating complex data into actionable insights.
  • Serve as a direct client contact for inquiries related to program performance, data analytics, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Review and mentor Associate Risk Analysts, providing technical guidance and identifying training opportunities.
  • Develop compelling materials for annual client review meetings, ensuring data visualization aligns with client needs.
  • Assess current risk products, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements based on market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX, ISO 31000, insurance regulations), integrating risk governance principles into analyses.
  • Continuously learn and apply advanced methodologies to enhance the quality of risk analytics and reporting.
