About The Position

Immuneering is a clinical-stage oncology company dedicated to helping patients outlive their disease. Their lead product candidate, atebimetinib (IMM-1-104), is currently undergoing a Phase 2a trial for patients with advanced solid tumors, including pancreatic cancer. The company's R&D team operates from a ~38,000 square foot lab and office facility in San Diego, with additional offices in New York City and Cambridge, MA. Immuneering has grown to over 50 employees, all committed to applying their expertise, passion, and creativity to improve the lives of individuals with serious diseases. The team fosters a collaborative and relentless work environment, thinking across traditional boundaries to advance drug development.

Requirements

  • Experience in cell culture techniques and general molecular/cell biology skills
  • Background in cancer biology and/or molecular cell biology required
  • Effectively troubleshoot to solve scientific problems with limited supervision
  • Willing and able to work under the pressure of deadlines and find solutions to meet timelines
  • B.S. or M.S. in a scientific discipline
  • 3+ years (B.S.) or 1+ years (M.S.) related laboratory experience.
  • Comfortable using computers, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, e-mail, and internet.
  • Able to work within a Quality System with oversight by QA and other regulatory bodies.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task with a high degree of professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Detail-oriented individual with above-average communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a regulated environment a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform cell cancer research lab activities, including tissue culture, bio-banking, molecular and cell-based assays, imaging and other state-of-the-art biology techniques in oncology.
  • Contribute to project development process within scientific discipline.
  • Work independently with limited supervision.
  • Have open communication, positive interpersonal and teamwork skills, and timely, accurate maintenance of written reports.
  • Analyze data and interpret experimental results.
  • Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses.
  • Adherence to Quality System protocols and policies.
