About The Position

Our client City of Houston is in need of a Senior Public Health Educator. This is a Temporary position. Location: Houston, TX 77054 (near NRG Stadium) Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm

Requirements

• Must have a valid Texas Driver's License and comply with AP 2-2 policy
• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Education, Behavioral Science, or a closely related field such as Public Health
• Two years of experience in Public Health, Education or a closely related field are required
• A Master's degree in Education, Behavioral Science, or closely related field such as Public Health may be substituted for the above requirements
• Directly related professional experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis

Responsibilities

• Conducts train-the-trainer workshops that coordinate TB Control Staff participation at community events
• Serves as the TB Education focus point for new employee orientation
• Conduct targeted testing outreach
• Supports the delivery of DOT and VDOT service to TB patients
