About The Position

If you're passionate about public health and youth programming, come join the Nutrition and Education team at Adagio Health! Adagio Health is looking to hire a full-time Health Educator serve Mercer and Crawford County partners. The pay for this position is $19.40/hour.
The Health Educator will support the implementation of:
Teen Outreach Program (TOP)- a social-emotional and community service learning curricula designed for middle and high school youth.
Healthy Relationships Toolkit (HeaRT) - a comprehensive model to provide middle school students with the knowledge and skills they need to have healthy, safe relationships.
Additional programs related to public health and prevention as applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in public health, education, or a related field.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to: develop, provide and evaluate education programming.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable car.
• Travel is required on a regular basis.
• Ability to work well in a group.
• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to lead an engaging lesson.
• Ability to represent the agency in a professional and ethical manner.
• Strong public speaking skills.
• Ability to work with the public, education professionals, teachers, principals, and the low-income population.
• Ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet the program goals.
• Willingness to participate in meetings and trainings in order to continually develop skills.
• Ability to work afterschool/weekend programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Series.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in youth education in a school setting and in public health is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and delivers education in a variety of settings.
• Ensures curricula is delivered as intended following program guidance and guidelines.
• Delivers engaging, interactive, and concise lessons.
• Builds relationships with program partners to enhance program delivery and effectiveness.
• Maintains regular communication with program partners.
• Initiates, leads, and provides technical assistance on supporting projects-based partner needs.
• Completes all required documentation, data tracking, and data entry by determined deadlines.
• Provides high quality customer service and participant recruitment in coordination with other Adagio Health initiatives as appropriate.
• Collaborates with other educators to share ideas.
• Works/travels in any offices as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
